Leading transport group Europcar Worldwide in the Philippines is the first from its industry to be certified on the Guest Service Professional program of the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI). Their CGSP workshop centered on the hospitality service-focused training program for their drivers and reservation officers, making Europcar the first transport group globally to invest specifically in hospitality service training for their employees.
AHLEI, through the Asia World Hospitality, led two CGSP workshop sessions for the Europcar team, widening its market reach in the country.
Aside from Europcar, AHLEI also conducted separate CGSP training sessions for Treston International College and Waterfront Hotels & Casinos facilitated by June Lucero-Antonio, CGSP. Antonio, with her experience both as a practitioner and as an educator, motivated and inspired the participants to always ‘Go for the Gold’ when it comes to providing service that goes above and beyond what is expected.
Treston International College, a pioneer tourism and hospitality specialist institution in the country, fielded 49 participants for the two-part CGSP training; 31 personnel, on the other hand, attended the CGSP workshop at Waterfront Hotels & Casinos.
The Guest Service Gold Training of AWH and AHLEI addresses the challenges of hotel and tourism industry, especially designed for the present and future hoteliers to look beyond the standard guest service training.
