Summer is just around the resort with its 350 meter beach cove as one of the main attractions of the resort. Guests can also enjoy a range of exciting beach sports as well as other water activities like paddle boards, jet ski, banana boat, kayak, snorkel, para sailing and scuba diving.

Guests can bask while swimming with the schools of tropical fish that make their home in the Shangri-La Marine Sanctuary. The sprawling six hectares from the resort’s beachfront is home to more than hundred of aquatic species. Among these fish species are angelfish, blue tang, banner fish, clownfish, butterfly fish, clown sweetlips, lion fish, goldfish, pipefish, rainbowfish, puffers, wrasses, and giant clams.

Overseeing this sanctuary and keeping its occupants “under her wing” is Irene Tan, the resort’s resident marine biologist. Another popular beach activity and enjoyed amongst friends or as a family-bonding exercise, is the fish-house-building activity conducted by Irene.  Here, guests understand how fish houses become artificial reefs foster marine biodiversity. or how human-made underwater structures are built to promote marine life.

Using broken corals, rocks and cement, the fish house are built which serves both as a refuge and as a nesting ground for the fish. Guests have the option to engrave their fish house and participate in putting these in the marine sanctuary.

The resort has two pools for those who prefer swimming pools. A multilevel pool with a children’s area and water slide, and an infinity pool facing the beach. Children can have a big splash with the resort’s vividly colored water slide, where they can have an exhilarating rush of zooming down into the main pool. Toddlers are not left out of the fun with the Aquaplay which includes three slides and a rainbow shower.

To make the summer getaway more exciting, the resort offers a special treat for bookings for the entire month of March.  Guests who get a Deluxe Seaview Room or any higher room category will have a one-time complimentary lunch buffet (excluding drinks) for two at Tides Restaurant.  “Lunch on Us” is valid only for new bookings and available for local residents only.  Room rates start at P9,200++ for the Deluxe Seaview Room.
